Drama

Drama is taught to pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 for one hour each week. We aim to teach theatre
skills, introduce the pupils to key practitioners and genre and, through role play, think and react
to each other in a variety of situations. Drama should develop self-confidence, articulacy, the
ability to listen and a willingness to work co-operatively in small and large groups.
GCSE is an option for pupils in Years 10 and 11. All pupils are encouraged to take part in the
annual school production.
