Almondbury High School and Language College offers a broad and balanced curriculum – the core aim of which is to closely match the needs, interests and aspirations of all our learners. Our programme at Key Stage 3 is planned to offer students the full range of core and foundation subjects across the Key Stage, including an innovative Learn-to-Learn programme.
At Key Stage 4, students opt for subjects they enjoy and in which they will most likely achieve. Our curriculum offer at Key Stage 4 has expanded considerably over recent years and now, students can choose from over 30 courses, including GCSEs, Vocational College courses and Young Apprenticeships.
Our curriculum is enhanced by six cross-curricular event days across the year. On these days, students follow a broad range of events that expand their experiences and allow them to develop their ideas over an extended block of time.
